10mm Stone and wooden bridge

This type of bridge was built in the sub Roman/Saxon periods in Britain and France as a defence against river bourn attacks i.e. Gothic and later Viking raiders. The pillars were set a certain distance apart as to stop the raider’s boats and dragon ships going up the river's.
